September 9, 2013 - Writing Activity - Comparing and Contrasting

I can compare and contrast two songs

To be able to do this I must understand 

• how to listen/analyze similarities and differences
• how to use compare/contrast language

I will show this by writing a paragraph that uses compare and contrast language

1. Make a graphic organizer that compares and contrasts Michael Jackson's "Bad" with Weird Al's "Fat." 

2. In a paragraph use compare and contrast language to discuss the similarities and differences between the two songs/videos. You should have at least 8 sentences. If you are absent, ask some one from class to share the examples we did together.
