September 6, 2013 Writing - How to Write a Conclusion

I can draft a proficient conclusion.

To be able to do this I must understand that a good conclusion:

·         Stresses the importance of the thesis

·         Gives the essay a sense of completeness

·         Leaves a final impression on the reader

I will show this in my written conclusion

Example:  People are brought up a certain way that teaches them to obey people with authority like teachers, parents, etc.  Even though this is true, they should have also been taught to disobey commands that clearly should go against moral beliefs, no matter what culture you may come from. Unfortunately, the evidence of Milgram’s studies and Eichmann’s willingness to take part in Hitler’s mass execution demonstrates that people will obey practically any order from anyone who is or appears to be an authority.  Everyone needs to evaluate authority figures before blindly following orders.
