TODAY'S OBJECTIVE: You should be able to make connections between the text and ideas and your life (using the article "What Superheroes Teach Us About Power."
After reviewing our annotations from the "Superhero" text, you will write one paragraph that discusses an instance in which you used your "power as an ability to act" (example: walking, speaking, helping, learning). We will generate a list of ideas in class. If you are absent, email for help getting started.
Then, you will pick another type of power (power=responsibility, power corrupts, money is power, or collective power) to write a fictional or non-fictional paragraph about a situation that shows you understand the type of power you are discussing.
